Nature Inspired Paintings

I have two whole galleries of trees, but I'm also inspired by other types of beauty in nature. Sunsets, sunrises, auroras, storms, rock formations, creatures... Some of these paintings are also found in other locations on my website, such as the Custom Order Gallery. Most shown here are done in a realistic style, but I work in other styles as well. Desert Life This painting was made for a special art show where I painted from the photography of Glenn Gove, and we exhibited our work side by side. This 16" x 20" painting got some serious attention to detail. I did not do my usual grid method for all these branches. I decided it was too tedious, and I eyeballed it. It did turn out a little different from the photograph, but very close, I think. And I walked away with my sanity intact! 16" x 20". Sold, but prints can be made upon request. Until The Dawn "Until the Dawn" depicts a beautiful patch of trees at sunrise. There are two birds nestled together, enjoying a quiet moment in love. 24" x 36" for $225. SOLD but a similar one can be made.	A Country Drive This scenic 18" x 24" painting takes me back to autumn in NY! $125. SOLD. Outside of Aspen This 24" square colorful landscape reminds me of a cross-country road trip when I first saw Aspen, Colorado! $300. SOLD.	Deer Creek "Deer Creek" is a 24" x 36" fall scene of a mama deer and her fawn in a stream, with colorful woods around them. This one is glow in the dark! $275.	Leaf Angel This 24" x 30" painting shows a girl lying down in a pile of fall leaves. $250.
Running Free SOLD but still available in prints. 18" x 24" beautiful horses running along the shore, kicking up a rainbow splash of water!	Night Sky This 18" x 24" painting was a custom request. Done in airbrush and traditional acrylics to achieve that mystical feeling! 16" x 20" canvas giclees available for $125.	Mighty Leopard This 24" square beauty has an ice cold stare that is best appreciated in person! Intense detail was given to the spots, which resulted in a very three dimensional perception. $650. Fall Forest This 24" x 36" painting reminded me of a sunny fall day in the woods behind my home in Upstate NY. This one sold for $425, but prints are available upon request.	The Bay Sold, but prints can be ordered! This tree growing at the edge of the water is about to bloom in many colors. The tree and rocks have a wonderful texture you can see and feel in person! Through The Woods This 24" x 36" painting was done by memory. This was a country road I used to drive on in the fall near Danville, NY, which was my home for 10 years. This is SOLD, but prints are available upon request.	Maple Lane This 24" square vibrant painting reminded me of the middle of fall, where I grew up in Upstate NY, on a sunny day towards evening when the leaves almost seemed to glow. This one sold for $200, but prints are available upon request.	New York November This 18" x 36" painting reminded me of the end of fall, where I grew up in Upstate NY, as rainy days and a little snow and frost creeped in. This one sold for $225, but prints are available upon request.

Crimson Brook This 24" x 36" painting has a surreal, dream-like feel. Rocks have texture you can feel. Water has a thick gloss better appreciated in person. SOLD.	Setting Her Free This 12" x 12" painting was made for the Elite Artists Show in Jana's RedRoom. I am on the team of Elite Artists for the year 2016. Sold. Calm Savannah This painting features a landscape with a mother and baby giraffe. I have similar pieces in my tree gallery, with pricing info.	Fall in the Mountains This 24" square painting was a custom order for my best collectors! Something of similar size and detail would be $400.	Bridge to Paradise 24"x 24" for $600. SOLD. This waterfall has a dreamlike quality and represents a bridge to the other side. Also available in 16" canvas print for $125.
Spring Mountains Triptych This huge three piece design is 6'W x 4'H. Spread into three panels, this panoramic view of the mountains West of Las Vegas is very majestic. This decorates a large meeting room of a law office. A similar version hangs on the second floor of my entryway.	Serenity Falls 18" x 24" Painting overflowing out of the faux frame. This features beautiful mountains in the distance and a field of bluebells in the foreground. The train tracks lead you through the painting into the serene mountains. Maldives 24"x 24" for $600. SOLD. This is a painting of a beach in Asia, which is one of the few places in the world where one can see bioluminescent plankton in action. Although manmade interference and pollution are blamed for making this phenomenon less and less frequent, there are still a few places left in the world where you can see them glow like a blue moon. Also available in 16" canvas prints for $125.	Gone Fishing This 18" x 24" painting was a special order. Prints can be ordered, however. Contact me for pricing!	Remember Me 24"x 24". This painting of a forget-me-not is a memorial to my mother who passed away fifteen years ago. This is based on a photo by Rosanna Cappiello, used with permission. Costa Rica This piece was done in a modern impressionist style, based on a photo. Sold.	Winter Wolves This was a commissioned order in which I was given a lot of freedom. She wanted some wolves in a woods, either in winter or fall. I knew she really liked another winter scene I had done, so I went with winter. 18" x 24". $200 for something similar. Crimson Love If you look closely, there is a heart shaped hole in the leaf, which the sun shines through. Made from a photo (used with permission) by photographer Wendy Forbes. 18" x 24" for $125. Sold.	Solitude This is from my Professional Photographer Series. The reference photo was taken by English photographer Keith Saint, of keithsaintphotography.com, used with permission. The photo was taken in Scotland. I just love how the tree is able to find one tiny spot and flourish. 24" x 24" Available for $485. Lots of texture! Colorado Cabin This is a winter scene of a cozy, warmly lit cabin near a lake and mountains. It reminds me of places I've seen while traveling through the Colorado Rockies, one of my favorite places. 24" x 36" for $275. Available.	Fall Waterfall This is a painting of a waterfall in autumn. The trees and rocks are textured for a real look and feel! 24" x 30" for $250. SOLD.	Little Falls This was an 18" x 24" painting of a rocky waterfall. This one is gone, but I can make something similar for $200.
Amy's Wave This is in my Professional Photographer Series. The reference photo was taken by an underwater wave photographer, Amy K Johnston. Her work is amazing! (Used with permission from amyjohnstonphoto.smugmug.com) This is for sale for $485. 24" x 24". The water has different glosses and the sand has different textures. Must be seen in person! SOLD. I do, however, have an aluminum print of this available, which is AMAZING and reflective. $75.	Night Lightning This was a 24" x 36" custom piece. $350 for a similar custom made piece this size. Cabin in the Woods This was a commissioned piece, so it will remain a one and only, but I think it's a beautiful example of the level of detail that I am capable of if you'd like to commission something similar. Stoyanac Falls This is a waterfall found by and named for the man who commissioned this painting!	Huge Aurora Large Aurora Borealis - This is a triptych on very large canvas: each 24" x 48". Antelope Canyon This huge piece hangs in my entry room, and I will probably never let it go. Spring Mountains This is my favorite view of the Spring Mountains on the west side of Las Vegas. With four panels, each 24" x 48", this is a massive piece. More info in the Custom Gallery.
